Anhui Metallurgical Technology Vocational College is a full-time public general higher vocational school approved by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is invested and established by China Baowu Magang Group. It is an important base for the cultivation of high-skilled talents of China Baowu Magang Group. The predecessor was Magang Staff University founded in 1983. In June 2003, it was officially approved by the Anhui Provincial People's Government to establish "Anhui Metallurgical Technology Vocational College". In August 2009, in order to effectively utilize education and training resources, Magang integrated Anhui Metallurgical Technology Vocational College and Anhui Magang Technician College to establish Magang Education and Training Center. After the integration, Anhui Metallurgical Technology Vocational College optimized educational resources, strengthened the teaching staff, and further improved the school conditions. The college is currently a national high-skilled talent training base, Anhui Provincial Secondary and Higher Vocational Teachers Enterprise Practice Base (national level), Anhui Provincial Innovation Method Promotion and Application Base, Anhui Provincial School-Enterprise Cooperation Practice Education Base, and Anhui Provincial Tenth Postdoctoral Research Station. It has successively won the honorary titles of "National Advanced Vocational Education Unit" and "National Skilled Talent Cultivation Outstanding Contribution Award". Ma Steel has one A+H-share listed company and two NEEQ listed companies, with a supporting production scale of 20 million tons of steel, and has created many firsts in my country's steel industry: my country's first wheel rim factory, the first high-speed wire rod rolling mill, "China's first steel stock" (A+H-share listed company), the first large H-beam production line, and the first heavy H-beam production line were successively born here. It is China Baowu's high-quality and special long steel production base. Its strong economic and technological strength can not only provide the college with excellent teachers and good teaching and scientific research conditions, but also provide students with a good internship and training base. The college has carried out school-enterprise cooperation with many units under Baowu Group. In April 2019, it assisted Ma Steel Company in successfully applying for the first batch of 24 national industry-education integration pilot enterprises recommended by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Education. In August 2020, it assisted the company in successfully applying for Anhui Province's industry-education integration construction and cultivation enterprises. The college is located in Ma'anshan City, a beautiful national civilized city in the Yangtze River Delta region. The college covers an area of 330 acres and currently has two main functional campuses, the south and the north. The south campus is for academic education and company engineering and technical personnel training, and the north campus is for internships and training and company operation and maintenance personnel training. The college has relatively complete educational and teaching and living facilities. Since its establishment, it has always adhered to the school-running policy of "facing the market, serving development, and promoting employment", adhering to the value pursuit of "creating golden blue-collar workers", and taking "respecting morality, being able to study and practice" as its school motto. It has trained tens of thousands of "golden blue-collar workers" for Ma Steel and the society, and has been highly praised by all sectors of society. The college has 8 computer rooms, 2 multimedia voice rooms, and more than 60 experimental training rooms such as steelmaking simulation, CNC, automobile, modern electrical control, sensors, Internet of Things, machinery, accounting computerization, ERP, basic nursing, etc.; 31 internship, training, and employment bases such as metallurgy, steel rolling, CNC machine tools, automobile maintenance, hotel management, and nursing have been built in and outside the province, Ma Steel and Ma'anshan City. There is also a "National Vocational Skill Appraisal Institute" approved by the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, which can organize intermediate and advanced skill appraisals for nearly 100 types of work, such as metallurgy, machinery, and computers. The college library has installed a book computer management system, an electronic reading room, and a paper collection of 220,000 books. The college has built a gigabit broadband campus network and a campus "one-card" management system. The college has the qualifications to test the National College English Level 4 and 6 (CET-4, 6), the College English Application Ability Test (PRETCO), the National Computer Rank Examination, and the National Computer Proficiency Examination. "Journal of Anhui Metallurgical Technology Vocational College" is an official publication approved by the State Administration of Press and Publication with CN and ISSN publication numbers. The college has a high-level faculty team, with 141 full-time teachers, including 50 senior professional titles, 36 with postgraduate degrees, and 46% of the full-time teachers are "dual-qualified" teachers.
