Anhui Sino-Australia Vocational College of Science and Technology is a public institution of higher learning affiliated to the Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology. In 1998, Zhang Ping, then executive vice governor of Anhui Province, led a government delegation to visit Australia and signed a "Science and Technology and Education Cooperation Agreement" with the Western Australian government in Perth. The Anhui Science and Technology Training Center (established in 1984), an agency under the Provincial Science and Technology Commission, was responsible for the implementation of the project and co-founded the Anhui Sino-Australia College of Science and Technology Continuing Education with the Western Australian Central Government Institute of Technology (TAFE). In 2000, it began to recruit students for general higher education as a junior college teaching point of Anhui University. In June 2003, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People's Government and the filing of the Ministry of Education, Anhui Sino-Australia Vocational College of Science and Technology was established. In June 2004, the Anhui Provincial Computing Center (established in 1979) was transferred to Anhui Sino-Australia Vocational College of Science and Technology as a whole. In 2010, the college successfully passed the talent training work evaluation; in 2017, it passed the Sino-foreign cooperative education evaluation; in 2023, it passed the teaching diagnosis and improvement review of Anhui Vocational Colleges. The college currently has two campuses, Luyang Campus and Xinqiao Campus. Luyang Campus is located in the central urban area of Hefei City, on the banks of Sili River at the intersection of West First Ring Road and North First Ring Road. It has a beautiful environment, convenient transportation and convenient life. Xinqiao Campus is located in the University Town of Xinqiao Industrial Park. The college has advanced teaching equipment and complete living and sports facilities. There are 9 professional groups and 34 majors, including civil engineering, equipment manufacturing, transportation, electronics and information, medicine and health, finance and trade, tourism, culture and art, education and sports. Among them, 7 majors, including Business English, Flight Attendant, Tourism Management, E-commerce, Software Technology, Computer Network Technology, and Advertising Art Design, are provincial specialty majors, and preschool education and art education are state-controlled normal majors. The college has 7,941 full-time students and 417 full-time teachers. Among them, 272 full-time teachers have obtained a master's degree or above (including 11 doctoral students), accounting for 65% of full-time teachers; 96 teachers with senior professional titles, accounting for 23% of full-time teachers. There are 12 provincial high-level teaching teams and 2 technical and skill master studios; 10 provincial teaching masters, 19 provincial teaching newcomers, 2 provincial skill masters, and 1 "Excellent Teaching Newcomer in Anhui Province". The teaching facilities are advanced and the sports facilities are complete. The teaching building area is 63,000 square meters, and the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 34.1276 million yuan. The Computer Application and Software Technology Training Base is a vocational education internship training base supported by the central government, the Tourism Management Training Center is a provincial demonstration experimental training center supported by the central government, and the E-commerce Training Center, International Trade Training Center and Art Design Training Center are provincial demonstration training room training centers. In addition, there are also comprehensive training centers such as flight attendant center, early childhood education training center, VBSE comprehensive training center, fitness guidance and management training center, and advertising production training room, decoration technology display training room, e-commerce training room, international trade training room, mobile Internet training room, smart building training room, etc. There are 42 modern on-campus experimental training rooms with real professional atmosphere and integrated functions of industry, academia and research. There are more than 120 stable off-campus practical teaching bases (venues), and the experimental training rate is 100%. The college is the first higher vocational college in Anhui Province where the provincial and state governments carry out Sino-foreign cooperative education. It has carried out cooperative education or inter-school exchanges with the Central Government Institute of Technology of Western Australia, North Brisbane Institute of Technology, University of South Australia, Hanrui University in South Korea, and Auroni College in the United States, and has opened up convenient channels for students to study in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore. Hundreds of students have gone abroad for further studies. The college also actively expands social service work, and has set up test sites for IELTS, Practical Japanese Language Proficiency Test (J.TEST), CDCS, ACCA, TOEIC, the Ministry of Commerce National International Business English Test, the National International Business Document Certification Test, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology National Information Application Ability Test (NCAE), the Ministry of Education Examination Center authorized National Computer Application Technology Certificate Test (NIT), Ruijie Certified Network Engineer (RCNA), and the China Enterprise Confederation authorized hotel management, marketing, logistics and human resources test sites, and the China General Chamber of Commerce authorized e-commerce test sites. It is also the Ministry of Science and Technology's science and technology commissioner training base, Spark talent training base, Provincial Education Department's higher vocational college English teacher training base, and Provincial Personnel Department's professional and technical personnel continuing education base.
