Anhui Sports Vocational and Technical College is the only full-time sports college in Anhui Province, sponsored by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and supervised by the Anhui Provincial Sports Bureau. The college is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, a historical and cultural city known as the "hometown of the Three Kingdoms and Bao Zheng", at No. 595 Huayuan Avenue, Baohe District, Hefei City, covering an area of more than 700 acres. It is located on the shore of Chaohu Lake and close to the administrative center of Anhui Province. The environment is elegant and the scenery is pleasant. The predecessor of the college was Anhui Sports School, which was founded in 1954. Over the past seventy years, the college has undergone several changes and has been renamed eight times. In 2001, it merged with Anhui Sports Technology School and Anhui Sports Science and Technology Research Institute to be upgraded to Anhui Sports Vocational and Technical College. The college is based on the characteristics of sports education, shoulders the important historical responsibility of "serving the country and the province, serving the construction of a beautiful Anhui, and serving the health needs of the people", establishes the school philosophy of "passing on the way of morality and skills, and cultivating sports elites", condenses the school motto of "seeking truth, innovation, winning championships, and educating people", and establishes the talent training goal of "cultivating high-level sports reserve talents, cultivating high-end competitive sports talents, and training high-quality social sports skills talents". The college implements the strategy of developing the college through talents and strengthening the college through quality, vigorously improves the quality of the teaching staff, improves the quality of talent training, improves the success rate, improves the delivery rate, and improves the employment rate. The college currently has 5 teaching departments (Provincial Sports School, Sports Training Department, Social Sports Department, Sports Education Management Department, and Ideological and Political Department), and 19 majors (Sports Training , Fitness Guidance and Management, Rehabilitation Therapy Technology, Sports Education, Sports Operation and Management, Leisure Services and Management, Social Sports, Sports Art Performance , Sports Health Care and Rehabilitation, Smart Health Care Services and Management, Traditional National Sports, Leisure Sports, E-sports and Management, Infant and Child Care Services and Management, Sports Health Guidance, Physical Training, Ice and Snow Sports and Management). Among them, there are 1 central government-supported industrial development capacity project (sports training major), 2 provincial high-level majors (sports training, rehabilitation therapy technology), 2 provincial characteristic high-level majors (sports education, fitness guidance and management), 2 provincial characteristic majors (sports art performance, social sports), 1 provincial technical skill master studio, 12 provincial quality course projects, 10 provincial demonstration courses, 8 provincial teaching teams, 6 provincial teaching masters, 10 provincial teaching rookies, more than 20 provincial teaching and scientific research projects, more than 10 provincial teaching achievement awards, and 3 provincial school-enterprise cooperation bases. In addition, the college cooperates with Beijing Sports University and Anhui Normal University to run undergraduate education and graduate course training courses. The college currently has more than 6,000 students. Since its establishment, the college has trained tens of thousands of sports talents of various types for the country. The college has trained many outstanding athletes, including Xu Haifeng, Deng Linlin, Meng Suping, Cai Weiyan, Shi Rongrong, Wang Ying, Ma Sanyi, Sun Laimiao, Hu Qing, Zhang Feng, Wang Zhiwei, Lan Minghao, and Niu Chunge, who have won championships in the world, Asian, and national competitions for many times. Among them, 3 athletes won 4 Olympic championships, 21 people won world championships, several people broke world records and Asian records, and won Asian championships and national championships. At the same time, many people have made outstanding contributions in all walks of life. The college is now a "national high-level sports reserve talent base", "national handball Olympic reserve talent training base", "national track and field Olympic reserve talent training base", "Asian weightlifting training college", "national sports industry special occupation professional skills appraisal training base", "Anhui Province coach training base", "Anhui Province sports traditional project school sports teacher training base", "Anhui Province social sports instructor training base", etc. The college has been awarded the titles of "National Advanced Unit for Mass Sports", "Provincial Three Excellent Civilized Units", "Provincial Institutions Civilized Campus", "Anhui Province Advanced Unit for National Fitness" and so on. The college has been rated as "excellent" in the evaluation of the ideological and political work of college students in the province, and "excellent" in the evaluation of the talent training level of colleges and universities in the province. The weightlifting, wrestling and judo professional committees of the Sports Training Branch of the Chinese Society of Sports Science are registered in the college. New era, new goals, new journey.
