Anhui Xinhua University is a provincial general undergraduate university with the right to confer bachelor's degrees. It is located in the core area of the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, and the campus is close to Dashu Mountain. The school was founded in 2000 and was upgraded to a general undergraduate university in 2005 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 2013, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education. In 2015, it was approved as a local applied high-level university construction unit in Anhui Province. In 2019, it was approved as a master's degree project construction unit in Anhui Province. In 2023, it successfully completed a new round of undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation by the Ministry of Education and received unanimous praise from experts. In 2024, it was approved as a key project construction master's degree conferring unit in Anhui Province. The school currently has 61 undergraduate majors, 10 secondary colleges and 2 teaching (college) departments, more than 24,000 students of various types, and more than 1,500 faculty and staff. The school covers an area of more than 1,500 acres and a building area of 523,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 159 million yuan, and the total number of documents in the library is more than 3 million. In the past three years, it has won 1 provincial teaching achievement special prize, 3 first prizes, and 16 second prizes. It has established stable cooperative relations with more than 300 well-known enterprises and more than 10 scientific research institutes, 245 practical teaching bases, and has established 2 provincial modern industrial colleges and 1 future technology college.
