The Public Security Coast Guard College is a higher education institution directly under the Ministry of Public Security. It implements the active service system (deputy army level) and is included in the sequence of the Chinese People's Armed Police Border Defense Force. The school is located in Beilun District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, covering an area of more than 500 acres. At present, there are more than 2,200 students and more than 260 full-time teachers, including more than 60 associate senior titles or above. The school was established in 1983 with the approval of the State Council. It currently has five departments and one department, including the Basic Department, the Department of Boat Command, the Department of Electromechanical Management, the Department of Electronic Technology, the Department of Logistics, and the Department of Continuing Education. It offers majors such as boat command, electromechanical management, computer application, communication technology, confidential and logistics management, and is responsible for training talents in boat command, electromechanical management, communication technology command, and logistics management for the national border defense forces.
