Baiyin Vocational and Technical College of Mining and Metallurgy is located in Baiyin, Gansu Province, the "Copper City" of China's nonferrous metals industry base, which is well-known at home and abroad. The school's predecessors are Baiyin Company Technical School founded in 1958, Baiyin Nonferrous Metal Workers University founded in 1984, and Baiyin Mining and Metallurgy Vocational and Technical College established in 2011 with the approval of the Gansu Provincial People's Government. In 2021, after the integration of municipal vocational education resources, Gansu Jingyuan Normal College (founded in 1935) and Baiyin City Industrial School (founded in 1986) were merged into the whole.
