Baoding Preschool Teachers College is a public full-time general college approved by the Hebei Provincial People's Government in February 2013. It was rebuilt and upgraded on the basis of the original Baoding Teachers College Zhuozhou School. In the long history of running schools, the school has accumulated rich experience in running schools and excellent school spirit and style, formed a distinct school-running characteristics and outstanding development advantages, and cultivated nearly a hundred years of teacher education tradition and profound cultural heritage. The school is now "one school and two campuses", with the main campus in Zhuozhou City and the south campus in Dingxing County, 60 miles apart. The school covers a total area of 391 acres and a building area of 155,513 square meters. The school currently has more than 400 faculty and staff, including 185 teachers with master's degrees or above (4 doctors), and 101 teachers with associate senior titles or above. The school currently has more than 7,000 students, and has six teaching departments, including the Department of Preschool Education, the Department of Art Education, the Department of Primary Education, the Five-Year College Department, the Department of Public Teaching, and the Department of Marxist Teaching. There are 11 majors in total, including preschool education, early education, elementary English education, physical education, music education, art education, elementary education (comprehensive liberal arts education), elementary education (comprehensive science education), calligraphy and painting art (illustration direction), infant and toddler childcare services and management, and music performance. The school is also responsible for the national, provincial, and municipal training of kindergarten teachers, and has trained a large number of qualified kindergarten teachers for various cities in Hebei Province, which has greatly promoted the development of preschool education in Baoding City and even Hebei Province. The school has always adhered to the original intention of normal education, and has taken the training of teachers, the training of good teachers, and the training of kindergarten teachers as its main business. Over the years, the school's graduates have been favored by the society, and the employment rate has remained above 98%. Faced with the major development opportunities of the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and the construction of Xiongan New Area, the new leadership team of the school proposed five basic strategies for running the school: "strictly managing the party and the school, running the school in accordance with the law, deepening reform and opening up, making every effort to improve quality and speed, and promoting distinctive development." These strategies further stimulated the entrepreneurial passion of all faculty and staff to seize the day, be self-reliant, and work hard, and effectively promoted the school to achieve high-quality and distinctive development.
