Bayinguoleng Vocational and Technical College was established in 2002, covering a total area of more than 1,200 acres, with two campuses and 15 secondary colleges. At present, it has opened 45 higher vocational majors under 15 major categories and 5 undergraduate majors that connect high school and undergraduate. It has formed a professional group construction system with petrochemical technology, modern textile technology, and horticultural technology as the leading professional group, tourism management, electronic information engineering technology, and oil and gas intelligent mining technology as the backbone professional group, and new energy vehicle maintenance technology and preschool education professional group as the supplementary professional group. There are 14,328 full-time students in higher and secondary vocational schools (14,103 in higher vocational schools and 228 in secondary vocational schools), 725 faculty and staff (including 12 teachers sent to Xinjiang), of which 617 are full-time teachers, 128 are certified teachers with "dual teacher" qualifications, 254 are teachers with master's degrees, 5 are teachers with doctoral degrees, 141 are teachers with associate senior professional titles or above, 3 are teaching masters of the National Industry Steering Committee, 3 are high-level talents of the autonomous region, 1 is a teaching master at the autonomous region level, 8 are outstanding experts in the autonomous prefecture, and 8 are experts in the expert talent pool. It is currently the third batch of excellent higher vocational school project construction units in the autonomous region, the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, a typical case unit of industry-education integration in national vocational colleges, a model home for employees in the national education, science, culture, health and sports system, a model unit for ethnic unity and progress in the autonomous region, a model school for school management according to law in the autonomous region, a model school for language and writing work in the autonomous region, the first batch of craftsman colleges in the autonomous region, and a cultivation unit of the "Research and Practice Base for Strengthening the Consciousness of the Chinese Nation Community" in the autonomous region's education system; a training base for high-skilled mechanical and electrical talents in the autonomous region, a leader unit of the autonomous region's "1+X" special welding technology team, and an advanced collective of scientific research statistics work in the autonomous region's higher education research association for scientific research management. It is also the chairman and secretary-general unit of the National Textile and Garment Industry Industry-Education Integration Community, the Coal and Coal Power Green Development Industry-Education Integration Community, the Xinjiang Automotive Vocational Education Alliance, the Xinjiang Electronic Information Vocational Education Alliance, the Xinjiang Intelligent Manufacturing Vocational Education Alliance, the Hebei-Bazhou Textile and Garment Vocational Education Alliance, and the Bazhou Vocational Education Alliance, and the Xinjiang Tourism Education Alliance and the Xinjiang Vocational Education Mixed Ownership Research Alliance Vice Chairman Unit. It has successfully applied to be a national "one-stop" student community service platform, a national benchmark college for vocational education informatization, and a digital campus pilot for autonomous region vocational colleges, and has been recognized as a public service outlet for intellectual property information in the autonomous region in 2023.
