Beijing Sports Vocational College is a higher sports vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, registered by the Ministry of Education, and established by the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau in June 2008. The main campus is located on the west side of Guangcai Gymnasium in Fengtai District, in the Muxiyuan Training Base; the branch campus is located on the west side of Huangcun Satellite City in Daxing District, in the Lucheng Training Base. The campus environment is beautiful, the sports venues are first-class, and the training facilities are complete. The college currently has four majors, namely social sports, sports operations and management, sports health and rehabilitation, and sports training. There are nearly 1,000 students at present, and the employment rate of graduates has been 100% for many consecutive years, ranking among the top municipal universities. For a long time, the college has been adhering to the school motto of "respecting morality and advocating physical fitness, imparting skills and educating people", taking the service of the capital's "four centers" as its fundamental purpose, taking the training of outstanding athletes in Beijing as its fundamental task, and taking the improvement of the comprehensive cultural quality and sports professional skills of athletes as its fundamental goal. Based on the development goals of Beijing's competitive sports and sports industry, it cultivates sports professionals with excellent moral and cultural qualities, high levels of special sports, and strong skills in career transformation. As the only higher vocational college in Beijing, the college actively practices and demonstrates the functions of talent training, scientific research, social service and cultural inheritance, pays attention to the cultivation of sports professional skills, and carries out various job qualification training related to sports professions, cultivating various sports professionals with good professional qualities, relevant theoretical knowledge and professional skills from multiple angles and levels, and also builds a bridge for athletes to smoothly transform into employment after retirement. The opening of the sports training major is committed to cultivating sports professionals who have basic theoretical knowledge of competitive sports and can engage in sports training, training management and related work in sports teams, amateur sports schools and other departments. In order to implement Beijing's ice and snow sports development plan, that is, to implement the spirit of the "1+7" document, the college began to recruit ice and snow majors for the first time in Beijing and Hebei Province in 2016, and signed "Letters of Intent for Co-building Ice and Snow Professional Cooperation" and "School-Enterprise Cooperation Agreements" with Wanlong Holiday Paradise, Beijing Century Star Skating Club Co., Ltd. and many other ice and snow companies. Among them, it jointly opened an ice hockey order class with Beijing Huaxing Huihuang Sports Management Co., Ltd. and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Finland's Kaisakallio Sports Academy to actively expand international cooperation and exchanges in ice and snow talent training. Since 2018, the college has played its main advantages according to market demand and cooperated with Qiqu Childhood Sports Center, Qudong Journey Sports Development Co., Ltd., and Geyimei Tongqu Sports Co., Ltd. to open a professional direction of children's physical intelligence training; it has successively cooperated with Zhongjin Yuneng Education Technology Group, Asia Rehabilitation and Physical Fitness College, and the Sports Hospital of the State General Administration of Sports to open a professional direction of sports rehabilitation, filling the gap in the long-term shortage of professional talents in the field of children's physical education and sports rehabilitation therapy, and has been recognized by candidates and widely concerned by the society. Under the background of the party and the country promoting the construction of a healthy China, we seize the opportunity of successfully bidding for the 2022 Winter Olympics, and take advantage of the rapid development of the sports industry brought about by the extensive development of national fitness. I believe that under the correct leadership of the party group of the Municipal Sports Bureau and with the support and guidance of the Municipal Education Commission, the college will continue to cultivate more and better skilled application talents for the sustainable development of Beijing's competitive sports and the development of Beijing's sports industry.
