Changchun Medical College was founded in 1936 and was formerly known as the Private Jilin Midwifery School. With ten years of experience in undergraduate education, good teaching quality and high social reputation, it has been identified as the first batch of demonstration vocational education group (alliance) cultivation units of the Ministry of Education, Jilin Province Demonstration Higher Vocational College, Jilin Province Characteristic High-level Higher Vocational School, "Jilin Province Civilized Campus", Jilin Province "Three-dimensional Education" Comprehensive Reform Pilot College, Jilin Province China Vocational Education Society Reform and Innovation Experimental School, Jilin Province Higher Education Research Base, National Practitioner Practitioner Practitioner Skills Examination Base, General Practitioner Training Base, National Popular Science Education Base, National Excellent Adult Continuing Education College, Jilin Province Elderly Classroom Pilot College, etc. At present, the school covers an area of more than 470,000 square meters, with 503 faculty and staff and 12,238 full-time students. The school currently has 3 affiliated hospitals, 11 teaching hospitals, and 199 internship and employment units consisting of Class II and above hospitals, large and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies and other medical institutions across the country.
