Changsha Nanfang Vocational College was officially established in 2000. It was approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province in 2003 and registered as a full-time general college by the Ministry of Education. The college is located in the university town of Xiangjiang New District, southwest of Yuelu Mountain, adjacent to Yuelu Academy, a thousand-year-old institution, and famous schools such as Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, and Hunan University of Chinese Medicine. It has a strong academic atmosphere and convenient transportation. The school is one of the first batch of higher vocational colleges in Hunan Province that have passed the talent training level assessment. In December 2013, it successfully passed the talent training level assessment of the Ministry of Education again. The college covers an area of nearly 1,000 acres, with a construction area of more than 200,000 square meters, total assets of 530 million yuan, and teaching equipment with a total value of more than 46 million yuan.
