Chengdu International Studies University was formerly known as Chengdu College of Sichuan International Studies University. It was founded in 2000 and was renamed Chengdu International Studies University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in September 2023. In December 2023, the school was approved to award the master's degree to the project construction unit. As the only professional foreign language university in Sichuan Province, the school takes shaping a bright future for students as its mission and aims to build a high-level, international and applied foreign language university.
