Chongqing Nursing Vocational College is a full-time private non-profit general higher vocational college approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education Code: 14576), and supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. The college is fully funded by the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. It is located at No. 600, Jiefang East Road, Laifeng Street, Bishan District, Chongqing, adjacent to the Qinggang Elderly Care Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. The college is built by the mountains and rivers, with fresh and pleasant air and beautiful and elegant scenery. It is located in Bishan District, the main urban area of Chongqing, with Jinyun Mountain to the east, the Yangtze River to the south, and the Jialing River to the north. It is located in the hinterland of the Western (Chongqing) Science City and Chongqing Second International Airport. The college covers an area of 287.95 acres, with a school building area of more than 110,000 square meters. The total value of the existing teaching equipment is more than 18 million yuan, and the library has a collection of more than 260,000 books. The college currently offers 9 majors, including nursing, midwifery, rehabilitation therapy technology, elderly care and management, community rehabilitation, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation technology, social work, infant and child care services and management. It recruits students from Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces and cities, with a total of 4,655 students currently enrolled. In July 2021, our college was selected into Chongqing's high-level construction project and became the only distinctive high-level nursing professional group in Chongqing, highlighting the professional group's educational advantages throughout the life cycle "from the beginning to the end of life". A rehabilitation professional group with rehabilitation therapy technology as the core has been initially formed, and nursing and midwifery majors have been listed as key construction majors at the school level.
