Chongqing Preschool Teachers College is a public full-time general college approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. There are currently three campuses, namely Tangfang Campus and Xiaowan Campus in Wanzhou District and Liyuan Campus in Yunyang County. 26 majors are open to enrollment in 16 provinces and cities across the country. There are currently nearly 14,000 full-time students and more than 800 faculty and staff. The school has a long history. The school began as the Sichuan Provincial Fourth Normal School founded in 1914. In 1918, Zhang Taiyan, then secretary-general of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen's office, inspected the Sichuan-Hubei government affairs. When he came to the school to inspect, he wrote a plaque with the name "Tree of Flags" and inscribed the school motto: "Those without deep ambitions will have no outstanding achievements."
