Chongqing Telecom Vocational College is a full-time general college approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, registered by the Ministry of Education, and recruiting students nationwide (Ministry of Education Code: 14369). The school was formally established in 2011, bathing in the east wind of Chongqing's efforts to accelerate the construction of an "inland open highland", transform the economic development model, adjust the industrial structure, and vigorously develop strategic emerging industries such as new electronic information and modern service industries. In 2014, the school built a new campus in Chongqing Shuangqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, adjacent to the Longshui Lake International Tourism Resort, known as the "West Lake", and the national 5A-level scenic spot and world cultural heritage-Dazu Rock Carvings. The school now has its own campus covering an area of more than 500 acres, with a digital library, standardized plastic track and field, standardized student apartments, standardized student canteens, etc., and advanced campus network facilities. The school is oriented to strategic emerging industries and cultivates high-quality technical and skilled talents for electronic information, big health, automobile, and rail transportation industries. At present, there are 8 secondary colleges, including the School of Artificial Intelligence and Electronics, the School of Big Data and Software, the School of Internet of Things and Communications, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Education and Design, the School of Sports and Health, the School of Rail Transportation and the School of Primary Education, offering more than 30 majors. In 2016, the school was highly praised by experts in the "Talent Training Work Evaluation" of higher vocational education organized by the Ministry of Education and successfully passed. In recent years, the school's "Electronic Information Engineering Technology", "Software Technology", and "Telecommunications Services and Management" majors have been approved for construction in Chongqing's professional capacity improvement projects (key majors) and have successfully completed acceptance; more than 100 scientific research, teaching reform and social science projects at the Chongqing municipal level and above have been approved; in national and provincial and municipal college student skill competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, sports competitions and other aspects, the number and quality of student awards have made major breakthroughs, and have won honors such as the national champion (first prize) many times.
