Chongqing University of International Business and Economics (formerly the School of International Business and Trade of Chongqing Normal University) is a full-time general undergraduate college established in 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Chongqing, a historic city with a 3,000-year-old Bayu cultural heritage, and has three campuses in Hechuan District and Tongliang District. It was awarded the "National Applied Talent Training Project (Training Base)" by the Ministry of Education, and is the "Excellent School for the Application of Network Learning Space" of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of private colleges and universities in Chongqing for the "Three-dimensional Education" comprehensive reform pilot colleges and universities, and Chongqing Smart Campus Construction Demonstration School. There are 51 undergraduate majors, covering 7 disciplines and 22 major categories. Among them, applied economics is a municipal key discipline, and international economics and trade, business English, and tourism management are municipal first-class majors. There are 1 national first-class undergraduate course and 14 municipal first-class undergraduate courses.
