Chongqing Vocational College of Information Technology was founded in 1995. In 2001, Chongqing Vocational College of Information Technology was officially established with the approval of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and the filing of the Ministry of Education (Code 12755 of the Ministry of Education). The school is a national computer and software technology skill-based talent training institution approved by the Ministry of Education, a Chongqing Demonstration Software College, a Chongqing Software Talent Training Base, a Chongqing Laptop Computer Base Talent Training School, a Chongqing High-skilled Talent Training Base, and a Chongqing Aesthetic Education Experimental School. Since its establishment, the school has adhered to the school-running philosophy of service as its purpose, employment promotion as its orientation, and the combination of industry, academia and research. It adheres to the educational philosophy of "no one is perfect, everyone has talent, and everyone can become a talent", continuously strengthens the connotation construction, improves the quality of education and teaching, and enables the school to develop rapidly. The school currently has two campuses, Jinlong and Tiancheng, covering a total area of 801.47 acres, with more than 600 faculty and staff, including 9 professors and other senior titles, 89 associate professors, senior engineers, senior technicians, senior laboratory technicians and other associate senior titles, and 93 doctoral and master's degrees. It has opened more than 40 majors in 10 categories, including electronic information, civil engineering, equipment manufacturing, finance and trade, culture and art, journalism and communication, education and sports, public management and services, tourism, and medicine and health. There are 18,000 students of all kinds. The school innovates the ways and means of school-enterprise cooperation to educate people, actively explores the reform of the "Golden Triangle" talent training model, and builds a golden triangle of students, enterprises, and schools through project cooperation, promotes multi-subject education, and realizes a new model of vocational education that allows students to grow in a personalized way, enterprises to match people with positions, and schools to accurately train people. There are 5 production-oriented and simulation-based training bases and 58 training rooms, including the rehabilitation center, film and television production center, automobile maintenance center, and Internet of Things training center, and more than 230 stable internship and training bases outside the school; a "dual-subject" cooperative school-running system between schools and enterprises has been formed, which fully meets the needs of practical teaching. The school also took the lead in establishing the Chongqing Internet Industry Vocational Education Group, using various social resources within the group to focus on improving the quality of training high-quality technical and skilled talents and social service capabilities, and initially built a vocational education talent training "overpass" covering 3+2 secondary vocational and higher vocational training, five-year one-system training, three-year higher vocational training, vocational skills training, etc., to promote the integration of cooperation chains such as student sources, industries, teachers, information, achievement transformation, and employment. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained stable at more than 95%, and the quality of employment has steadily improved, which has been well received by employers and society.
