Chongqing Vocational College of Resources and Environmental Protection is a full-time general college approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, filed with the Ministry of Education, and supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. It is a higher vocational school with distinctive characteristics in resource and environmental majors. The school is the vice president unit of the Chongqing Engineers Association, the executive council unit of the Chongqing Environmental Culture Promotion Association, the executive council unit of the Chongqing Vocational Education Association, and the vice president unit of the Finance and Economics Branch of the Chongqing Higher Education Society. The school is located in Dazu District, Chongqing, the hometown of Chinese stone carvings and the hardware capital of the west. It currently covers an area of about 438 acres and has a planned building area of 290,000 square meters. At present, the total investment is about 620 million yuan, and the school building area has been built. About 150,000 square meters, the number of registered students has exceeded 10,000, the number of students in school is about 9,000, and the number of classes in school is 215; it has complete modern teaching, sports, and living basic supporting facilities including teaching buildings, experimental training buildings, libraries, football fields, basketball courts, student apartments, canteens, supermarkets, etc. The second phase of the school's planning and construction has now been fully launched. By 2025, the school will also build about 73,000 square meters of infrastructure such as student dormitories, training buildings, indoor gymnasiums, and training buildings. The school has a beautiful campus environment and is creating a Chongqing garden-style unit. The school's leadership team is mainly composed of experts and professors who enjoy special allowances from the State Council, and has the advantages of expert management and professor management. The school currently has a team of dual-qualified teachers with solid theoretical foundations, strong educational technology and capabilities, of which 25% have associate senior titles or above; the school hires experts and experts from enterprises as dual-qualified teachers, and hires famous experts, scholars, and front-line engineering and technical personnel in the environmental protection industry as part-time visiting professors. The school currently has 7 secondary colleges, including the School of Ecological Environment, the School of Intelligent Engineering, the School of Management and Health, and the School of Education and Sports. Focus on creating six major professional clusters that integrate "ecological environment" + "big data" + "automotive engineering" + "finance and trade" + "big health" + "preschool education". Among them, the major of environmental management and evaluation is the only major currently offered by higher vocational colleges in Chongqing, and the major of environmental engineering technology has been approved as the first batch of municipal teaching resource library construction projects. The school adheres to the school motto of "using hands and brains to innovate the world", firmly establishes five major school-running concepts, including distinctive development concepts, intensive and excellent construction concepts, harmonious and mutual ecological concepts, motivating educational concepts, and governance concepts of all-staff co-governance. It takes "diligent learning, good thinking, happy research, and love of creation" as the style of study, "love students, happy teaching, diligent research, and good creation" as the teaching style, and "inheritance, civilization, enlightenment, and truth-seeking" as the school spirit. It strengthens connotation construction, condenses school-running characteristics, and takes the distinctive development path of industry-education integration and government-school-enterprise-park cooperation. It has signed government-school cooperation, school-enterprise cooperation, and school-school cooperation agreements with government departments, more than 100 enterprises, and more than 30 kindergartens. It has jointly established the ChinaSoft International Smart Digital Industry College and the SAIC Volkswagen Intelligent Manufacturing Industry College with industry-leading companies such as ChinaSoft International and SAIC Volkswagen. The two sides have carried out extensive cooperation in professional construction, training base construction, curriculum construction, internship employment, teacher training, vocational training, and skills appraisal. In recent years, the school has successfully completed the "Youth Dreams and Passion Flying" special performance of the School of Resources and Environment in Dazu District, and the "Three Going to the Countryside" college student volunteer practice group was jointly rated as an "excellent team" by eight departments including the Propaganda Department of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, and the "Seedling Protection Plan" project was rated as a "Growth Potential League Work Brand" of Chongqing Universities.
