Chongqing Vocational College of Technology and Business is a public full-time general college established by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and approved by the Ministry of Education (Jiaofa Letter [2005] No. 71). The school currently has two campuses, Hechuan and Jiulongpo, covering a total area of more than 1,300 acres. There are 280 on-campus training rooms (including 3 national training bases and 20 provincial training bases), and 76 stable off-campus training bases. The library has main buildings in the Jiulongpo Huayan Campus and the Hechuan Campus respectively. There are more than 1.5 million books in the library and 780,000 electronic books. It has purchased 18 multi-category professional databases and co-built and shared 5 university town digital resource platform databases. The school currently has 1,043 faculty and staff, including 75 professors and other senior titles, 200 associate professors (including senior engineers and senior laboratory technicians), and 719 with doctoral and master's degrees. The school has 8 secondary colleges, and currently has more than 17,000 full-time general higher vocational (junior college) students. The school has always taken improving the quality of talent training as the main line, adhered to the "one body, multiple diversity and three integrations" school-running, adhered to the new development concept, and fully implemented the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people around the overall idea of "running schools should be rooted, educating people should be carried out throughout, work should focus on the foundation, development should rely on innovation, and quality should be systematic". Closely connect with Chongqing's strategic emerging industries such as big data and artificial intelligence, follow the "Internet +" vocational education school-running rules, use professional groups to serve industrial groups, build professional chains based on industrial chains and innovation chains, increase openness and integration, deepen industry-education interaction, take "artificial intelligence +" as the technical path, and closely follow the professional development main line of "intelligent manufacturing, interconnection and interoperability". Deepen education and teaching reforms and institutional reforms, based on the transformation and upgrading of core majors such as Internet of Things application technology, automobile manufacturing and assembly technology, digital media art, construction engineering technology and logistics management, create a new generation of information technology, automotive intelligent manufacturing and services, digital media creative design, smart city construction, smart logistics and other professional clusters, and comprehensively improve the quality of talent training. The school plays the role of the government-enterprise-school cooperation development council, relying on the Jiulong Creative Entrepreneurship Base, Jialing River Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base and Jialing River Development Research Center, etc., to create a school-enterprise cooperation and collaborative education base and a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation platform. So far, the school has reached cooperation agreements with more than 700 enterprises and institutions, providing more than 4,600 jobs per year, covering 100% of the school's majors. The "Mobile New Media Industry College" jointly built with Hualong Network Group has taken an important step in promoting the construction of mixed-ownership colleges with the characteristics of "Internet +" school-running. Through the "dual system" pilot, a new "one-in-one and multi-in-one" cooperative development mechanism has been formed with diversified and integrated school-running elements, multi-dimensional and integrated school-running space, multi-category and integrated information sharing, and diversified and integrated target actions. In 2018, the school co-built a digital creative vocational education group with multiple parties. It has co-built an ICT college with Huawei, negotiated with Tencent to co-build the "Tencent Cloud Computing College", and negotiated with iFLYTEK to co-build the "Artificial Intelligence College". In recent years, the comprehensive strength of the school has been steadily improved. It has successively become a pilot unit of the modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of educational informatization pilot units of the Ministry of Education, and has been approved as a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel, a training base for the World Skills Competition, and a postdoctoral research workstation for "Internet + Vocational Education". The school ranked 60th in the competitiveness ranking of Chinese higher vocational colleges in 2018-2019, and ranked 69th in the "National General College Discipline Competition Ranking Results (2012-2019)" released by the expert working group of the "Research on the Evaluation and Management System of College Competitions" of the China Higher Education Society, and ranked 10th in the "National General College Teacher Teaching Competition Analysis Report (2012-2019)", ranking first among higher vocational colleges in the western region, third among national backbone higher vocational colleges, and eighth among national "high-level" higher vocational colleges. The school is a higher vocational college that hosts the national-level competition of the National Vocational College Skills Competition, and is a national training base for the World Skills Competition. Two contestants have been shortlisted for the national training team for the World Skills Competition. The quality of talent training in the school has steadily improved, and students have frequently won awards in various skill competitions at the provincial, ministerial and above levels, including 41 awards in the National Vocational College Skill Competition (12 first prizes), 29 awards in the First National Skill Competition, and 676 awards in national industry and provincial competitions.
