The College of Engineering and Technology of Chengdu University of Technology is a full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was founded in 2000 by the Southwest Institute of Physics of the Nuclear Industry and Chengdu University of Technology at the largest controlled nuclear fusion experimental base in Asia. The college adheres to the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite" and the nuclear industry spirit of "four everything", and abides by the school motto of Chengdu University of Technology "to study science and achieve success in engineering", forming a university culture of "daring to be the first, striving for strength, educating talents and pursuing excellence". Strong faculty and fruitful scientific research results. The college currently has more than 1,000 teachers, of which 87.5% are associate professors or above and have doctoral and master's degrees.
