Datong Coal Vocational and Technical College is a higher vocational college registered by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 1975 and began to offer higher vocational education in 1999. It is one of the earliest institutions in the country to offer higher vocational education. The coal mining technology and mechatronics technology training base is a demonstration training base in Shanxi Province.
