The Delaware School of Data Science at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is a new type of Sino-foreign cooperative school with data science as its feature, approved by the Ministry of Education (No. MOE51USA02DNR20191972N). It is jointly established by Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and the University of Delaware in the United States. It will start recruiting students in 2020 and offer three undergraduate majors: Information Management and Information Systems, Financial Mathematics, and Logistics Management. The Delaware School of Data Science is the only Sino-foreign cooperative school in China that features data science as its training feature. The school innovates the talent training model, adopts an internationalized curriculum system design through the local internationalization path, and teaches jointly by elite Chinese and foreign teaching teams to cultivate compound professionals with a solid theoretical foundation in data science and a broad vision of data application, as well as national spirit and global competence. Introduction to Southwestern University of Finance and Economics Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the first batch of "Double First-Class" world-class discipline construction universities in the country, a key construction university of the national "211 Project" and "985 Project Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform", and one of the first batch of pilot universities for national education system reform.
