Fujian Forestry Vocational and Technical College was formerly known as Fujian Forestry School founded in 1953. It was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2003 and has a history of 70 years. The college inherits the "Tianlin" spirit of "dedication, hard work, pragmatism, and enterprising", adheres to the school motto of "thinking clearly, practicing hard, being professional and moral", and adheres to the educational philosophy of "carrying the road with skills and cultivating people through trees", and actively connects with ecological civilization. In the national strategy of building pioneer demonstration zones and serving rural revitalization, we have continuously enhanced our school-running capabilities and formed a sustainable development trend. The college currently has two campuses, Tianlin and Jiangnan, covering an area of 732 acres and a construction area of 229,000 square meters. It has 14 party and government management institutions including the Party and Government Office, 3 teaching auxiliary institutions including the library, and 12 teaching institutions in the Forestry Department. It offers 40 majors and recruits students from 15 provinces (regions) across the country. There are currently more than 19,000 students and more than 1,500 adult education students. School-enterprise cooperation has jointly built forest ecological VR/AR, Fulai Flight Academy, Skill Master Studio, Dawn Workshop, Czech Airlines Engineering Inspection Center, Intelligent greenhouses, flower cultivation technology research and development bases, forest ecological comprehensive museums, smart forestry training bases, forestry pest epidemic provincial identification centers and other production training bases integrating industry and education. The total value of fixed assets is 643 million yuan, the total value of teaching equipment is 115.19 million yuan, 604,500 books, and the campus wireless network is fully covered. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the college plans to invest nearly 600 million yuan to improve school running conditions. After completion, the college will increase its construction area by 55,200 square meters, bringing the total construction area to 353,900 square meters, significantly improving school running conditions and student teaching and training. place. The college currently has 506 faculty members, including 482 full-time teachers, 24 teachers with senior professional titles, and 36.04% have senior professional titles; 71.3% have master’s degrees or degrees; and 87.6% have dual-qualified teachers. It has 1 national-level teaching team, 6 provincial-level teaching teams, 2 provincial-level famous principals, 9 provincial-level famous teaching teachers, 6 provincial-level outstanding teachers, and 15 provincial-level professional leaders. The college innovates talent training models such as targeted training and group-based school running to cultivate rural technical backbones. By cultivating new professional farmers, training practical forestry technologies, and sending science and technology projects to the countryside, it cultivates talents with local characteristics and helps forest farmers get rid of poverty and become rich. An average of 21,500 vocational training and skill appraisals are carried out every year, and more than 3,600 forest farmers are trained on a voluntary basis. It has become the largest forest farmer training center in the province and has trained a large number of leaders in new rural construction and poverty alleviation.
