Ganxi Vocational College of Science and Technology is a full-time general college approved and registered, with the qualification to issue junior college diplomas recognized by my country, and is included in the national unified enrollment plan. The college is located in the urban area of Xinyu City, a national new energy science and technology city, and was founded in 1986. The college already has nearly 500 million yuan in fixed assets and intangible assets that are difficult to price. The planned land area is more than 2,000 acres, and there are more than 10,000 students. The college has a network center and campus broadband network, and has built a high-standard computer operation center, an electronic technology experiment center, an automobile training base, a household appliance experiment center, a clothing design operation center, a clothing design CAD room, a mold design CAD room, CNC lathes, milling machines, wire cutting, mold practice workshops, accounting simulation operation rooms, multimedia voice rooms, studios, audio-visual education centers, multimedia tiered classrooms and other high-quality teaching equipment. Training bases have been jointly established with dozens of large and medium-sized enterprises. The college has two teaching areas, two student apartment areas, teaching buildings, science and technology experimental buildings, academic exchange centers, administrative office buildings, libraries, apartments, student auditoriums and other modern buildings, as well as 400-meter standard plastic running tracks, football fields, basketball courts, badminton courts and other sports venues and facilities. It has more than 1 million books and teaching equipment with a total value of more than 80 million yuan. The campus has complete service facilities such as canteens, shopping malls, savings, telecommunications, post offices, medical clinics, and public security police stations, making life convenient. The college insists on carrying out teaching reforms with employment as the orientation, takes the lead in adopting the "order" training method, and establishes a graduate employment guidance center to provide students with psychological quality, interview skills, competitive awareness and other aspects of counseling; the college actively promotes the modern apprenticeship system of vocational education, and has established graduate employment offices in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Xiamen. It has established long-term and stable talent training relationships with dozens of companies such as FAW-Volkswagen, Guangzhou Toyota, Huawei Group, Youngor, Perromon Clothing, Acer Computer, Jiangxi Saiwei, Foxconn, and Shanghai Dafeng, and has established counterpart employment training classes with more than 20 companies such as Foxconn, Shanghai Dafeng, and FAW-Volkswagen. The employment rate of graduates is over 98%. Since its establishment, the college has survived by quality and has taken the quality of education and teaching as the eternal theme of running a school; it has sought development with integrity and has taken "adhering to integrity" as the motto of running a school; it has won the trust of students with high employment rate and employment quality, and has made every effort to create a "people's livelihood project" with high employment rate. So far, the college has trained more than 80,000 skilled, compound, and innovative talents for the society, making great contributions to social and economic development. On April 27, 2005, the private vocational education experience exchange meeting was held in our college. The then Minister and Deputy Minister of Education led more than 200 representatives of deputy governors in charge of education and deputy directors of education departments of various provinces (cities and regions) and educators to attend the meeting and evaluated the school-running characteristics of Ganxi College, which is "school-enterprise cooperation and industry-university cooperation". In December 2005, CCTV's "Miracle of Famous Schools" special album "Travels Across China" reported on the miracle of Ganxi College in three episodes. The college's achievements in running schools have been rated as the advanced unit of "Thousands of Schools and Millions" for training migrant workers, the advanced unit of comprehensive management in Jiangxi Province, the advanced unit of enrollment work, the Xinyu City Female College Students Entrepreneurship Practice Base, and the Xinyu City Moral Education Advanced School, etc., and have established a good social image. The development of the college has received strong support from all levels. In the college's 12th Five-Year Education Development Plan, it is planned to invest 1.2 billion yuan in the Xinyu City Xiannv Lake Vocational Education Park to build a three-dimensional higher vocational undergraduate campus covering an area of more than 1,500 acres in accordance with the standards of undergraduate colleges, accommodating 30,000 students, integrating learning, living, internships, training, and scientific research.
