Guang'an Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational school sponsored by the Guang'an Municipal People's Government and co-built by the Ministry of Education, Sichuan Province, and Guang'an City. It is located in Guang'an, the hometown of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the chief architect of my country's reform and opening up, a national civilized city, an excellent tourist city in China, a national forest city, a national health city, and a national model city for supporting both the army and the people. The school was formerly the Yuexiu Women's School founded in 1906. Chen Lianshi and Deng Huizhong, the prototypes of the "old lady with two guns" in the famous revolutionary hero legendary novel "Red Rock", both graduated from here; in 2004, with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, it was independently upgraded from Sichuan Yuechi Normal School. The school innovates the system and mechanism, implements the two-level management of the school and the reform of target performance assessment management, and promotes incentive mechanisms such as rewards for major teaching and scientific research achievements, constantly stimulating the vitality of running schools.
