Guangdong Agricultural and Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public college of higher education. The school was founded in 1952. Its predecessor was the South China Reclamation Bureau Mechanical School founded by Marshal Ye Jianying when he was concurrently the director of the South China Reclamation Bureau. In 1977, the Guangdong Provincial Reclamation Cadre School was established with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial Revolutionary Committee. In 1984, the Guangdong Reclamation Management Cadre College was established with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. It began to provide college education. In 1989, it was approved by the former Ministry of Agriculture to be listed as the "Ministry of Agriculture South China Reclamation Cadre Training Center". In 1993, it was renamed Guangdong Agricultural and Industrial Management Cadre College. In 2000, it was renamed Guangdong Agricultural and Industrial Vocational and Technical College.
