Guangdong Chaozhou Health Vocational College is a public full-time general college of higher learning. It is currently the only medical and health vocational college in eastern Guangdong. The school was approved by the provincial government and filed with the Ministry of Education. It was officially established in March 2021 and officially enrolled in the fall of 2021. The establishment of the school fills the two gaps of Chaozhou City without a vocational college and eastern Guangdong without a medical and health vocational college. The school covers an area of about 471 acres, with a total construction area of about 152,000 square meters. The planned total investment is about 1.27 billion yuan, and it can provide 5,000 higher vocational degrees. The school has three secondary colleges: the School of Marxism, the School of Nursing and Rehabilitation, and the School of Pharmacy and Inspection. A total of 8 majors are offered, including nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, rehabilitation therapy technology, food inspection and testing technology, traditional Chinese medicine, and medical imaging technology. It recruits students for summer college entrance examination candidates, spring high school academic level examination candidates, and secondary vocational school graduates. At present, there are more than 4,700 students in the school. There are 132 full-time faculty members, including 1 doctoral supervisor and 95 postgraduates (3 doctoral students), accounting for 82.6% of full-time teachers. The school adheres to the school-running positioning of "based in Chaoshan, taking over Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao; serving the big health, integrating the big health; conforming to the talent needs of grassroots medical and health undertakings and health industries, and cultivating high-quality skilled service talents", actively implements the "Innovation and Strong School" project of Guangdong Province's higher vocational education, and organizes the launch of the "Four Major Projects" of "Pilot Project, Strong Teacher Project, Pioneer Project, and Innovation and Strong School Project (C-type Planning)", and is committed to creating a "four excellent schools" with "excellent leadership team, excellent teaching team, excellent party member team, and excellent teaching quality".
