Guangdong Ecological Engineering Vocational College is a full-time public general higher vocational college established in March 2014 with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. In 2021, under the deployment of the Provincial Department of Education, the school and the Guangdong Marine Engineering Vocational and Technical School, a national key technical secondary school founded in 1935, carried out group schooling. The school currently has two campuses in Tianhe and Haizhu, Guangzhou, covering an area of nearly 700 acres, and an off-campus training base of 1,500 acres. There are about 13,000 students and 767 faculty and staff, including 602 full-time teachers and more than 80 doctors. The school has a beautiful environment and complete teaching and living facilities. In 2022, it was selected as a provincial high-level higher vocational college cultivation unit. Focusing on the characteristics of ecological civilization construction and serving the requirements of regional industrial development, the school has 10 secondary colleges, including the School of Forestry Engineering, the School of Landscape Architecture, the School of Horticulture and Food, the School of Art and Design, the School of Tourism and Culture, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Economics and Trade, the School of Oceanography and Fisheries, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, and the School of Navigation, with 44 majors and 2 provincial high-level professional groups. In the 2020-2021 China Junior College (Higher Vocational College) Competitiveness Ranking released by the China Science and Education Evaluation Network, our school ranked 12th among the 172 forestry vocational colleges in the country.
