Guangxi Manufacturing Engineering Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as the school) was established on April 10, 2020 with the approval of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and was filed with the Ministry of Education on May 11, 2020. It is a public full-time general higher vocational college organized by the People's Government of the Autonomous Region, built and managed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Autonomous Region, and guided by the Department of Education of the Autonomous Region. It is the first manufacturing higher vocational college in the region. The school is located in the national-level Guangxi-ASEAN Economic and Technological Development Zone (the western area of Nanning Education Park), with convenient transportation. The Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway passes by, and the bus line arrives at the school gate. The extension of Nanning Metro Line 2 and Nanning North Station, which will be opened in August 2023, are nearby. The school has a planned area of more than 1,100 acres, a planned total construction area of 500,000 square meters, and a planned total investment of 2.3 billion yuan. At present, 1.2 billion yuan has been invested to build 250,000 square meters of main functional buildings such as classrooms, training rooms, apartments, canteens, sports fields, and libraries. The construction of functional areas such as teaching, sports, training, and accommodation is promoted in a coordinated manner, and the efficiency of serving teaching and serving teachers and students is continuously improved. The construction of the first, second, and third phases of the campus has been completed, and the construction of the fourth phase project has been started. The school actively adapts to major development strategies and market demands of the country and the autonomous region such as "Made in China 2025", "Guangxi 14+10", and "Building Nine Innovative Business Cards in Guangxi", and adheres to the guiding ideology of moral education and moral education first. As a cradle for cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents for rural revitalization, the school adheres to the "agricultural" school-running characteristics of agricultural colleges, and takes the cultivation of high-quality technical and skilled talents in agriculture and agricultural machinery (manufacturing) industries as its mission. It has seven secondary colleges, including the College of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, the College of Agricultural Information Engineering, the College of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the College of Transportation Engineering, the College of Finance, Business and Management, and the College of Marxism. The school actively creates competitive specialty and advantageous majors, and currently offers 28 majors (including directions) such as agricultural equipment application technology, industrial robot technology, machinery manufacturing and automation, and automobile inspection and maintenance technology. At present, the number of students is 12,039, and by 2025, the number of students will reach more than 15,000. The school is working hard to introduce high-quality talents and is committed to building a team of teachers who are connected to the industrial chain, have superb business skills, good morals and skills, and have a good structure. There are 366 full-time teachers, including 86 postgraduates, 52 associate professors and above, and 63 "double-qualified" teachers; the school also hired 28 experts and professors who enjoy high reputation in the manufacturing industry and enterprises in and outside the district as visiting professors and subject leaders. The school attaches great importance to the leading role of teaching and scientific research in the professional development of teachers. At present, the total value of the school's teaching instruments and equipment exceeds 130 million yuan. It has 48 training laboratories such as information security operation and maintenance training room and software development training room, and 4 1+X test sites such as comprehensive analysis technology of automobile power and drive system and intelligent new energy vehicle power drive motor battery technology. The Guangxi-ASEAN Economic and Technological Development Zone where the school is located is one of the three national development zones in Nanning. It gathers nearly 500 industrial enterprises. The autonomous region's public vocational skills training base with a total investment of 1 billion yuan is about 1 kilometer away from the school. These are all convenient for expanding the training space for school students. The school makes full use of the China-ASEAN Expo platform and the geographical advantages of the Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Zone to actively improve the vocational education and training system, promote school-enterprise cooperation, and deepen the integration of production and education. At present, it has cooperated with more than 60 companies, including Beijing Huahang Weishi Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., Wuhan Huazhong Numerical Control Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., Foxconn Hongzhun Company, Wistron Information Technology, Lixinmen Fuji Textile Machinery (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd., Xiamen Youyou Huilian Information Technology Co., Ltd., Nanning Fugui Precision Industry Co., Ltd., Guangxi Sanhui Automobile Service Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Shangzhizheng Education Consulting Co., Ltd., to build on-campus and off-campus training practice bases, providing students with a growth platform for "zero-distance" contact with enterprises, and cultivating students into future-oriented application-oriented, technical and skilled talents. General Secretary Xi Jinping made important instructions on vocational education work, emphasizing that in the new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way, vocational education has a bright future and great potential. In order to better serve the regional economic and social development, the school has actively explored and formed a distinctive school-running ideology system in practice: the school motto of "cultivating morality and practicing skills, starting a business and serving the country". The school insists on serving the "Made in China 2025" strategy, the national rural revitalization strategy and the "Belt and Road" initiative, and focuses on building a high-level vocational college positioning of "domestic first-class, world-class, and Chinese vocational education brand with the characteristics of equipment agriculture and manufacturing industry".
