Guangzhou Donghua Vocational College was founded in February 2011. It is a full-time general college approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, registered with the Ministry of Education of China, and supervised by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education. It is the vice chairman unit of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Vocational Education Industry-Education Alliance, the vice chairman unit of the National Blockchain Vocational Education Group, the vice chairman unit of the Vocational Education Service Community Education Alliance, the Guangdong Human Resources Research Association, and the Guangdong Provincial School-Enterprise Cooperation and School-School Cooperation Promotion Association. The school is located in the core area of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, adjacent to Guangzhou Science City and Knowledge City, and is located on the east side of Maofeng Mountain Scenic Area in Baiyun District, Guangzhou. It has a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. The campus covers an area of 758 acres and has complete infrastructure. The school currently has 10 secondary colleges, including the School of Information Engineering, the School of Architecture and Design, the School of Art and Media, the School of Management, the School of Finance and Economics, the School of Intelligent Mechatronics, the School of Medicine and Health, the School of Continuing Education, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the School of Public Theory (School of Marxism). It has also established a number of characteristic industry colleges, such as the Guangzhou Intelligent Building Industry College and the School of Emergency Management Technology. The school has a "dual-teacher" full-time teaching team composed of professors and bloggers, as well as a team of part-time teachers composed of skilled craftsmen from industry enterprises. The school offers more than 40 socially scarce and emerging majors, including software technology, intelligent control technology, e-commerce, big data and accounting, architectural interior design, engineering cost, urban rail transit operation management, nursing, emergency rescue technology, and preschool education. It has two provincial-level high-level professional groups, "Intelligent Control Technology" and "Marketing", with more than 10,000 students. The school has cooperated with China Southern Airlines Group, Midea Group, JD Group, Guangzhou Metro Group, Guangdian City Service Group, Zhongke Yatu, Banggu Technology, Dongguan Lihe Shuangqing Innovation Base and Zhaoqing High-tech Zone Social Security Bureau to build more than 200 off-campus internship bases; created 45 student clubs such as the News Club, Lion Dance Club, and Calligraphy Association to create a healthy and rich campus culture, and has trained and supplied nearly 20,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents for Guangdong and even South China. It has been awarded "Guangdong Contemporary Excellent Private Colleges and Universities" and "China's Top 100 Private Education". The textbook "Business Negotiation" won the first prize for excellent textbooks in the first National Textbook Construction Award. The student men's basketball team won the "Men's Group C Champion" in the basketball competition of the 10th Guangdong University Games; the student men's football team won the top eight of the Group C of the 2021 Guangdong "Governor's Cup" Youth Campus Football League; the student taekwondo team won 3 gold medals in the 2021 Guangdong University Taekwondo Championship.
