Guilin UniversityGuilin Normal University (code: 13641) is a full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education and supervised by the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the only full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning in Guilin City sponsored and supervised by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. The predecessor of the school was Lijiang College of Guangxi Normal University, which was established in May 2001. In February 2004, it became the first batch of independent colleges confirmed by the Ministry of Education. In January 2012, it was newly added as a bachelor's degree authorization unit. In May 2021, it was independently established and renamed Guilin University. In August 2023, it obtained the qualifications for higher education and international student education. At present, the school is a member of the Sino-German International Cooperation Alliance of Universities of Applied Sciences, the deputy secretary-general unit of the Guangxi Applied Undergraduate University Alliance, the president unit of the Guangxi Language and Literature Society, the member unit of the Party Building Professional Committee of the China Private Education Association, the member unit of the China Private Education Association, the member unit of the Guangxi Higher Education Society, and the member unit of the Guangxi Private Education Association. ——The purpose and positioning are clear. The school is located in Guilin, a historical and cultural city known as "the best mountains and rivers in the world", and is located on the banks of the Lijiang River, one of the "15 most beautiful rivers in the world". It is adjacent to the Central Ring Road of Yanshan District, Guilin City to the east, with convenient and smooth transportation; it is "equally matched" with Yanshan Campus of Guangxi Normal University across the road to the east, and is close to the People's Government of Yanshan District, Guilin City, Guilin Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guilin Sunac International Tourism Resort and Yanshan Garden, which is known as "Guilin's best scenery, one garden to see everything". The campus is shaded by trees and has an elegant environment. There is the "Yushan Forest" primitive forest park with winding paths, pine fragrance and bamboo rhyme. It has been successively rated as "Guangxi Higher Education Safe and Civilized Campus", "Guangxi Health Excellent School" and "Guangxi Green School". ——The infrastructure is becoming more and more perfect. The school currently covers an area of more than 830 acres, with teaching and administrative areas, sports areas, student apartment areas, teacher apartment areas and "Leshan Restaurant" with relatively complete functions and full wireless network coverage. The school vigorously promotes the transformation and development of the basic path of school-enterprise cooperation, integration of production and education, and serving regional economic and social development. It has co-built four industrial colleges, including "Mingtao E-commerce College", "Yueqian Electronic Engineering College", "Neusoft Software College", and "Chinasoft International Big Data College" with well-known domestic and foreign companies such as Zhejiang Mingtao Group, Guangzhou Yueqian Group, Neusoft Group, and Chinasoft International.
