Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Electronic Commerce is a provincial higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Guizhou Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is affiliated to the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce. It was founded in 1952. Its predecessor was Guizhou Commercial School. In March 2016, it merged with Guizhou Material School and was upgraded to Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Electronic Commerce. In the past 72 years, the college has been adhering to the school motto of "honoring faith, practicing virtue, high skills and fine skills", adhering to the school-running orientation based on commerce and facing the modern service industry, focusing on the economicization of Guizhou's big data and the commercialization of the Internet economy, cultivating e-commerce vocational and technical application talents, and has trained more than 100,000 graduates in total, providing talent guarantee for the digital transformation and upgrading of Guizhou's commerce and trade circulation field. The college currently has three campuses: Qingzhen, Xiangya, and Ergezhai, with a total area of 471.15 acres, 13,453 full-time students, 502 faculty and staff, 309 full-time teachers, and 190 dual-qualified teachers. It has 8 teaching units including the Department of E-commerce, the Department of Logistics Management, and the Department of Accounting. It offers 25 majors such as e-commerce, big data and accounting, 89 on-campus training bases (training rooms), and 135 off-campus training bases. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 73.593 million yuan. It has the largest library in Qingzhen Vocational Education City, with a collection of 613,700 books (including electronic books). It has a national e-commerce examination site and has a variety of professional skills training and appraisal qualifications. The construction of professional groups is in line with the eight major projects such as modern commerce and modern logistics in the ten major projects of Guizhou's service industry innovation and development, and the big data industry cluster and digital and cultural and creative industry cluster in Guizhou's "14th Five-Year Plan" strategic emerging industries. It has obvious characteristics of new business vocational education. The college has established provincial-level key specialty groups of big data and accounting, and provincial-level key specialty of interior art design. It has taken the lead and participated in the construction of 7 specialties in 32 industrial chains of Guizhou vocational education services, undertaken 59 projects such as Xingqian Fumin, Improving Quality and Training, Skill Guizhou, and Deepening the Pilot Reform of Education Evaluation in the New Era, and built a provincial-level high-level production-education integration training base for financial digital talents. Four teachers serve as experts of the National E-commerce Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee.
