Guizhou Shenghua Vocational College is a non-profit public welfare charity university funded by Chinese business leaders and Taiwanese patriotic entrepreneurs Wang Xuehong and Chen Wenqi. Chinese Academy of Engineering and computer expert Ni Guangnan serves as the honorary president. The school is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It has a unified enrollment plan and the Ministry of Education issues higher vocational (junior college) diplomas. The school is located in Bainiaohe Digital Town, Huishui County, Guizhou Province, about 40 minutes' drive from Guiyang City and Longdongbao International Airport. The entire campus is covered by free wireless wifi, with complete facilities and equipment. There are more than 30 volunteer foreign teachers from Europe and the United States all year round. It is the most internationalized and information-based garden-style university in Guizhou Province. In February 2015, it won the only "Modern Vocational Education Reform and Innovation Pilot College" in Guizhou Province and became a vocational college with key support from the Guizhou Provincial Government. The school currently has 5,060 students, 80.8% of whom are from rural Guizhou. It has always adhered to the school motto of "public welfare to promote education, education to help the poor", and "integrity, love, and nobility" as its school motto. Under the model of "giving fish is not as good as teaching how to fish", with the goal of "innovating vocational education and achieving poverty alleviation through education and industry", more than 20 popular and in-demand majors have been opened.
