Guizhou Sports Vocational College is located at No. 638, South Section of Huaxi Avenue, Huaxi District, Guiyang City (Dongjiayan), covering an area of 607 acres. It is adjacent to the scenic Confucius School and Shili River Beach, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. In March 2023, it was officially established with the approval of the Provincial People's Government and the filing of the Ministry of Education. It is a full-time public general higher vocational college with 6 majors: sports training, leisure sports, sports health and rehabilitation, physical training, fitness guidance and management, and social sports. It aims to cultivate high-quality compound technical and skilled talents with higher college degrees in sports. The history of running schools can be traced back to the Guizhou Sports School established in 1973. The college takes "unity of knowledge and action, excellence in literature and martial arts" as its school motto, adheres to "integration of sports and education", "integration of industry and education", and "integration of learning and training", and deepens "school-enterprise cooperation", "school-school cooperation", and "school-society cooperation". There are 8 national coaches, 10 national referees, 4 world champions, and 29 national champions. It has trained more than 6,000 outstanding athletes and various sports talents for the country, and trained nearly 10,000 referees of all levels and types. There are more than 20 on-campus and off-campus internship and training bases, including the Qingzhen Sports Training Base and the Hongfeng Lake Water Sports Training Base. The college is now a "National High-level Sports Reserve Talent Base", "International Olympic Track and Field Individual Base", and "Guizhou Plateau Talent Development Plan Reserve Talent Base"; it has trained a large number of competitive sports talents for the national and Guizhou sports industry, and has sent many outstanding athletes such as Xiao Jun, Jiang Yefei, Xie Yong, Luo Wen, Li Mingyong, and Xu Shiqi, who have performed outstandingly in major international and domestic events such as the Olympics, Asian Games, and National Games, and have achieved excellent results.
