Guizhou Vocational College of Culture and Tourism is a public full-time general college approved by the People's Government of Guizhou Province, registered by the Ministry of Education, and directly managed by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guizhou Province. The college provides higher vocational (junior college) education and secondary vocational education at the same time. It is a college that integrates education, training, and skill level assessment, and focuses on cultivating skilled talents in cultural tourism. It is a national tourism talent training base, a "provincial vocational college tourism professional backbone teacher training base", and a "Chairman Unit of Guizhou Tourism Vocational Education Group". The college is located in Guizhou (Qingzhen) Vocational Education City, with a school scale of 6,000 people, an area of more than 300 acres, and more than 200 faculty and staff, of which dual-qualified teachers account for 68% of full-time teachers, 49 full-time teachers have doctoral and master's degree students, and 50 have senior professional titles. The college offers majors such as hotel management and digital operations, tourism management, singing and dancing performance, beauty and body arts, cooking technology and nutrition. It has built 185 professional training rooms and has jointly established an off-campus training base integrating "government-industry-university-research-application" with more than 30 cultural and tourism enterprises and institutions in and outside the province. The college aims to serve local economic development, promote employment and entrepreneurship, and assist Guizhou's development strategy of "big data, big ecology, and big tourism". It takes "humanization, refinement, ecology, and internationalization" as its direction, and focuses on the school-running philosophy of "practicality, professionalism, characteristics, and quality". It takes "moral education, pioneering innovation, moral and technical training, and unity of knowledge and action" as its purpose. It adheres to the school-running model of "integration of industry and education, and cooperation between schools and enterprises", pays attention to the cultivation of students' innovative and entrepreneurial abilities, comprehensively improves the quality of education and teaching and talent training, and constructs an education system that combines academic education with vocational education and training, and gives equal weight to full-time general higher education and secondary vocational education. It strives to cultivate high-quality cultural tourism service technical and skilled talents in the new era with social responsibility, professionalism, fraternity, and international vision for the society.
