Hainan Vocational and Technical College was founded in 2000. It is located in the central urban area of Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province. It has convenient transportation and elegant environment. It is the first independent public higher vocational college in Hainan Province and is affiliated to the Hainan Provincial People's Government. In 2003, it passed the first batch of higher vocational talent training work level evaluation of the Ministry of Education; in 2008, it was approved to build a national demonstration higher vocational college, and in 2011, it passed the acceptance and became a national demonstration higher vocational college; in 2010, it won the second "National Huang Yanpei Excellent School Award"; in 2015, it became the first batch of modern apprenticeship system pilot units in the country.
