Harbin Petroleum Institute is a full-time general undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It was founded in Daqing City in 2003 and later moved to Harbin City. In 2012, it was transferred and renamed Harbin Petroleum Institute. In 2020, it passed the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching work in ordinary colleges and universities.
