Hebei Judicial Police Vocational College is a full-time general college approved by the Hebei Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is sponsored by the Hebei Provincial Department of Justice. The college was formerly the Hebei Judicial School, Hebei Police School and Hebei Political Science and Law Correspondence University. In January 2004, it was officially established as the Hebei Judicial Police Vocational College with the approval of the provincial government and the Ministry of Education. The college is located in Handan, a national historical and cultural city. The Shijiazhuang campus is located in the capital of Hebei Province, covering a total area of 927 acres. The campus environment is elegant, with complete teaching and living facilities. There are a unique judicial appraisal center with police academy characteristics, a live-fire shooting hall, a police physical training hall, a motor vehicle driving training ground, a mock court, a remote video teaching center, a computer classroom, an English voice classroom and other complete teaching and training facilities. There are also more than 80 off-campus internship and training bases. The college library has a complete range of books, subscribes to more than 700 newspapers and periodicals, and the collection covers all majors of the college. Professional books account for 60% of the collection. There are criminal execution department, criminal investigation department, law department, judicial affairs department, information technology department, basic education department, police sports education department, and continuing education department. The college has a strong faculty, a professional teaching team with excellent political quality, high professional level, scientific title structure, and reasonable age ladder. There are 214 full-time teachers (25 professors, 76 professional and technical personnel above associate professors), 117 people with doctoral and master's degree (degree), and 128 "double-qualified" teachers with various professional qualification certificates. The college has complete internship and training bases with advanced facilities. It has established a number of internship and training bases inside and outside the school, and has invested a lot of funds. Many experimental and training equipment are at the leading level in China and the province, meeting the needs of talent training. In particular, the college's judicial appraisal center not only undertakes the teaching work of the college's training base, but also undertakes the dual functions of providing services to the society. Since opening up external services, the appraisal results have been accepted by judicial organs at a rate of 100%, and it has obtained the highest level of satisfaction evaluation of the Ministry of Justice's 2016 judicial appraisal agency capability verification. The Hebei Provincial Judicial Administration System Cadre Education and Training Center is located in the college, which undertakes the promotion training of the police officers in the judicial administration system of the province and the on-the-job business training of the police officers. In addition, the college also hosts provincial research bases such as the Hebei Law Education Association, the Hebei Law Society Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Research Association, the Hebei Law Society Community Correction Research Association and the Hebei National Judicial Examination Research Center. Among them, the academic research in the field of community correction is at the leading level in the province and enjoys a certain reputation in the country. The college closely focuses on the strategic decision-making of the Xiong'an New Area in the national strategic planning of the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and the demand for talent training in the construction of a safe and law-abiding Hebei, optimizes the professional structure, cultivates professional clusters, and establishes a professional system with police majors as the leader, applied law majors as the support, information technology majors as the supplement, and social service majors as the new growth point. There are 17 majors for enrollment, and the two majors of criminal execution and criminal investigation technology are key majors supported by the central government. In recent years, with the care and support of the Provincial Department of Justice, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Provincial Civil Service Bureau, the number of positions for the college's police-related specialty has increased year by year in the annual recruitment of people's police in prisons, compulsory isolation and drug rehabilitation units, and grassroots judicial administrative agencies in our province, so that a large number of outstanding graduates have entered the people's police force through selection examinations, and it has become a training base for reserve police talents in Hebei Province. The college pays attention to the cultivation of the police quality of teachers and students, strictly manages students in accordance with the relevant regulations of the people's police and the professional norms of reserve police officers, implements a one-day life system, and has accumulated a police academy culture of virtue, law, martial arts and literature.
