Hebei Rail Transportation Vocational and Technical College is located in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. It is affiliated to the Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. It is a public general higher vocational college with distinctive characteristics in the rail transportation industry and recruits students from all over the country. In 2012, with the approval of the provincial government and the filing of the Ministry of Education, the Hebei Rail Transportation Vocational and Technical College was established by integrating the high-quality resources of Shijiazhuang Railway Transportation School and the former Shijiazhuang Railway Driver School. The college has established a "one body and two wings" development strategy with full-time college and technical secondary school students as the main body, adult education, skills appraisal, and vocational skills training as auxiliary, and the school-industry group leading the deep integration of schools and enterprises as the support. It has built a vocational education "through train" that connects secondary and higher vocational education and a talent training "overpass" for technicians, senior technicians, and technical secondary schools and higher vocational education. The scale of the school is more than 30,000 people. School Resources The college currently has 5 campuses, with a total area of nearly 1,000 acres, a building area of more than 310,000 square meters, more than 700 faculty and staff, and more than 200 people with associate senior titles or above. There are 28 internal institutions, including 10 party and government management institutions, 10 teaching institutions, 5 teaching auxiliary institutions, 2 mass organizations, and 1 secondary unit. There are professional departments such as railway transportation, railway locomotives and vehicles, urban rail transit, passenger services, electromechanical engineering, management engineering, and aviation colleges, with more than 40 majors. The railway transportation operation management major is a national demonstration major in transportation, and the railway locomotive major has been rated as a backbone construction major in the "Innovation and Development Action Plan" by the Ministry of Education. As a pilot unit of the modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education and the leading school of the "1+X" certificate system pilot in Hebei Province, the college won two awards for the first national textbook construction, was approved by the Ministry of Education for 12 "1+X" certificate pilots, and established the "Mao Zedong" locomotive driver Liu Yufeng Skill Master Studio, and undertook the post-study and visiting training project for young teachers in railway transportation in Hebei Province. School Advantages The college has a long history of running schools in the industry and distinctive characteristics of vocational education. It is a national high-skilled talent training base, a national second batch of demonstration vocational education group (alliance) training unit, China Railway Corporation transportation professional and technical personnel and locomotive driver training base, Beijing Railway Bureau passenger training base and dispatcher training base, Beijing Jiaotong University distance education teaching center; it has a national vocational skills appraisal institute and a railway-specific job appraisal station. It is the Ministry of Transport’s rail train driver vocational skills appraisal station, the leading unit of Hebei Provincial Transportation Vocational Education Group, and the supporting unit of Hebei Railway Society; the college has successfully hosted the National Railway Industry Vocational Skills Competition Station Attendant Competition, China Railway Corporation Dispatching Vocational Skills Competition, CNC, electrical installation, welding, "5G+MR" resource development, VR technology application and many other national industry vocational skills competitions Hebei Provincial Selection Competition and "China's Greatest" (Season 2) North China Division Open Audition Launch Ceremony, successfully completed the first batch of Beijing-Lhasa passenger train crew pre-job training tasks, demonstrating the industry's influence. The college has built the Hebei Vocational Skills Public Training Base, the only national demonstration project jointly built by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Hebei Provincial Government. It has also established the Xiong'an Public Training Base, and has made every effort to create a public training platform for highly skilled talents that integrates "training and practice, skill appraisal, skill competition, scientific and technological research and development, achievement transformation, teacher training, academic exchanges, and entrepreneurship incubation".
