Hebei University of Media is a private full-time general college with media arts as its main subject and multiple disciplines such as art, literature, engineering, management and education. It has been registered with the Ministry of Education and its school code is 12784. The school was founded in 2000 by Mr. Zhai Zhihai, a representative of the 12th and 14th National People's Congress, the 8th National Inspector, the 13th Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People's Congress, the Vice President of the China Private Education Association, and the Chairman and President of Elite Group. It was upgraded to undergraduate in 2007, obtained the qualification to recruit professional master's students in 2011, and began to jointly train doctoral students with the China Academy of Arts in 2013. In 2015, it was identified as a pilot university for "transformation and development" by Hebei Province and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education. In 2020, it was identified as a "transformation and development demonstration school" by Hebei Province and passed the undergraduate teaching review and evaluation of the Ministry of Education. The "county radio and television and network audio-visual communication teacher team" led by our school president Li Jinyun was selected as the "Huang Danian-style teacher team in Hebei Province's colleges and universities." The "cross-disciplinary joint practical teaching team" led by President Li Jinyun won the title of "Excellent Teaching Team of General Undergraduate Colleges in Hebei Province". The 1,200-square-meter studio, 400-square-meter integrated media studio, panoramic studio, virtual studio, special photography laboratory, mixing studio, sound studio, pre-mixing studio, etc. have reached the advanced level in China and the industry. The library has 1.93 million Chinese and foreign paper books, 2.39 million electronic books, and 37,000 Chinese and foreign paper and electronic journals. The original stage plays "Little Soldier Zhang Ga" and "Happy International Village" have been performed continuously at home and abroad.
