Hebei Vocational College of Labor Relations is affiliated to the Hebei Federation of Trade Unions. In December 2007, it was established by merging the former Hebei Provincial Workers' Movement School and the former Handan Workers' University. In June 2008, it obtained the record of the Ministry of Education and began to recruit students; in October 2011, it successfully passed the national higher vocational college talent training work evaluation; in March 2013, it was awarded the "National Trade Union Cadre School Education and Training Demonstration School" by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; in 2014, it was awarded the "Hebei Civilized Unit"; in 2016, it was awarded the "Hebei Civilized Campus"; from 2019 to 2020, it undertook the task of expanding enrollment in higher vocational colleges for three consecutive years, recruiting 912 demobilized soldiers, new professional farmers, etc.; in 2022, it was approved as the "Hebei Province Elderly Education Pilot Promotion School". The college inherits and carries forward the tradition of trade unions, adheres to the quality of school-running, characteristic school-development, and takes the road of connotation development. After years of construction and development, the school conditions, faculty, and education level have made great progress. Up to now, there are 7 teaching departments (divisions) and 23 enrollment majors (including 2 enrollment directions). Adhering to the principle of "service as the purpose and employment as the orientation", the school actively connects with the regional economic and social development and the employment needs of industry enterprises, and focuses on building 4 major professional groups: architecture, economics and management, electromechanical, and computer. The central government supports the construction of 2 majors, and 6 school-level key majors are under construction. The professional connotation is constantly improving, and the educational characteristics are gradually highlighted. Cooperate with high-quality enterprises, cultivate talents together, share achievements, jointly carry out order training between schools and enterprises, jointly build productive training bases, and jointly develop loose-leaf and manual teaching materials, so that teaching resources are more complete. Solidly promote the "quality improvement and excellence" plan, the innovative development action plan, and the "1+X" certificate education, and have won provincial teaching achievement awards many times. Implement the strategy of strengthening the school with talents, adhere to the combination of internal training and external introduction, and pay equal attention to the introduction of wisdom and talents, focus on the training of "double-qualified" teachers, and strive to build a team of teachers with strong political integrity, excellent quality, superb business skills, and noble teacher ethics. We fully implement the Party's education policy, implement the fundamental task of cultivating people with moral integrity, adhere to the five-pronged education and three-dimensional education, actively carry out labor education, and take the lead in hiring national labor models to establish the "Qiming Innovation Studio" and "Qu Yuge Talent Training Studio" in colleges and universities across the province, and hire a group of labor model craftsmen as visiting professors, vigorously promote the spirit of labor, the spirit of labor models, and the spirit of craftsmen, and integrate labor culture into the entire process of talent training. We have obtained a number of innovative cases of ideological and political work in colleges and universities in Hebei Province. We have strengthened exchanges and cooperation with colleges and universities, trade union organizations, and enterprises, and actively undertaken the tasks of trade union theory research and trade union cadre training around the overall situation of the trade union. We have built a trade union cadre training course system with 8 modules; through holding special classes and delivering education on site, we have trained more than 30,000 trade union cadres in total; we hosted the 2018 Annual Meeting of the National Trade Union Research Association and the 34th National Trade Union Theory Teaching Discussion Meeting. We adhere to the path of international development and actively connect with the country's "Belt and Road" development strategy. We have established inter-school exchanges with China-Europe, China-Germany, China-South Korea, China-Pakistan, and China-Thailand. We have reached a cooperation intention with South Korea's Huyuan University to prepare for cooperative education in big data and financial management majors, and jointly cultivate high-quality talents with professional skills, international vision, and development potential.
