Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Resources and Environment is a public general higher vocational school that was rebuilt from the adult higher education school of Hebei University of Geology after inspection and evaluation by experts from the Hebei Higher Education Institutions Evaluation Committee. The school is located in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. As an independent public university approved by the Hebei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education, it is the only higher vocational college with geological characteristics and a full range of professional categories north of the Yangtze River. Its predecessor was the 721 University of the Hebei Provincial Geological Bureau. In 1982, it was approved by the Hebei Provincial Government and registered with the Ministry of Education to become an independent adult higher vocational college under the Hebei Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development. In 2003, it was approved by the Hebei Provincial Department of Education and included in the general higher education enrollment series. In September 2021, it was approved by the Hebei Provincial People's Government to be rebuilt into Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Resources and Environment.
