In 2011, approved by the Ministry of Education, Hefei University of Technology and Xuancheng Municipal People's Government jointly built the Xuancheng Campus of Hefei University of Technology. The construction of the Xuancheng Campus of Hefei University of Technology is an important measure to implement the Outline of the National Education Reform and Development Plan and promote the construction of the Wanjiang Demonstration Zone. It is a typical example of the combination of national high-quality educational resources and local resources, and has created a new model of cooperative education in higher education. In 2012, the Xuancheng Campus of Hefei University of Technology enrolled students for the first time. The Xuancheng Campus and the Hefei Campus enrolled students above the national first-class line according to two codes. After completing their studies, according to the relevant requirements of the Hefei University of Technology's student status management regulations, those who meet the graduation conditions will be awarded the same Hefei University of Technology undergraduate degree certificate, and those who meet the degree awarding conditions will be awarded the same bachelor's degree certificate. The Xuancheng Campus of Hefei University of Technology is located in the southern part of Xuancheng City, which is known as the "Hometown of the Four Treasures of the Study in China". It has beautiful scenery, beautiful environment, convenient transportation, and profound cultural heritage. The Xuancheng Campus is planned to cover an area of 3,135 acres, with a total construction area of about 600,000 square meters. It is planned once and built in phases. The architectural design of Xuancheng Campus incorporates the elements of Hui style architecture. Through the ecological layout based on the terrain, it constructs a modern university campus with water and mountains, outstanding people and beautiful scenery. At present, the first and second phases of the campus have been basically completed, and the relatively superior school conditions have been initially achieved. The teaching facilities such as teaching buildings, experimental buildings, computing centers, engineering quality education centers, and sports stadiums are complete. The library, student dormitories, student canteens, campus hospitals and comprehensive service areas are complete in infrastructure. Xuancheng Campus is an important part of Hefei University of Technology. The school implements integrated management of Xuancheng Campus. Relying on the discipline advantages of Hefei University of Technology, facing the needs of local economic and social development, Xuancheng Campus has carried out professional construction of Xuancheng Campus with a high starting point, high standards and high quality. Relying on the existing advantages of the school, starting with the construction of majors that meet the needs of local economic and social development, it has gradually formed a professional layout that relies on the two campuses in Hefei. The school is responsible for planning and preparation, discipline construction, professional setting, teaching organization, faculty team, student management, quality supervision, enrollment and employment, etc., to ensure the implementation of teaching plans and the quality of student training. The school organized a team of capable and high-level teachers to settle in Xuancheng as the backbone of teaching in the Xuancheng campus. The Xuancheng campus currently has 12 departments, including the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Materials Engineering, the Department of Computer and Information, the Department of Electrical and Automation, the Department of Energy and Chemical Engineering, the Department of Urban Construction Engineering, the Department of Ecological Environment, the Department of Logistics Management, the Department of Economics and Trade, the Department of Liberal Arts, the Department of English, and the Department of Food Science, as well as 1 basic department. There are 23 undergraduate majors in total, and the discipline and major construction is constantly strengthened to achieve differentiated development with the Hefei campus. At present, there are 10,386 students in the Xuancheng campus. Since the establishment of the Xuancheng campus, it has adhered to the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people, and has taken it as its responsibility to strive to run a university that satisfies the people. It has adhered to standards, quality, and characteristics, and has achieved remarkable results. The Xuancheng campus is student-oriented, strengthens student education management, and strives to create a good environment and build a development platform for college students' "diligent study, healthy growth, and all-round development." Xuancheng Campus has continuously strengthened the construction of academic style, carried out physical exercise, promoted the formation of good behavioral habits among students, and created a good academic style of diligent study, positive progress, and pursuit of excellence. Xuancheng Campus actively organized and participated in college student science and technology competitions. In the past three years, students of Xuancheng Campus have won more than 280 national and above certificates in more than 50 science and technology competitions, including: 78 national and international awards in the College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition; 2 bronze medals in the national finals of the "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition; 37 national awards in the National College Student Advanced Graphics Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition, 11 national awards in the China College Student Computer Design Competition, and 16 awards in the National College Student Advertising Art Competition. In addition, more than 600 provincial subject competition awards have been won, with fruitful results and gratifying achievements. Over the past ten years, with the joint efforts of all teachers, students and staff of the university, the Xuancheng campus has been running smoothly and orderly, with reliable student quality and expanding social influence. The employment and further study of the three classes of graduates in 2021, 2022 and 2023 are good, and the implementation rate of undergraduate graduates is more than 95%, of which the further study rate is more than 33%.
