Heilongjiang Nursing College is located in Harbin, a national historical and cultural city. It is a public full-time higher vocational (junior college) college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 1948, upgraded in 2010, and transferred from the Provincial Health Commission to the Provincial Department of Education in 2019. The school is the only provincial-level health and health college in the province, the first batch of national 1+X certificate pilot colleges, the national health and health "dual-teacher" teacher training base, the national practicing physician practical skills examination base, the national scientist spirit education base, and the first batch of higher vocational and undergraduate application-oriented talent training pilot colleges in the province. The school currently has six major professional clusters, including nursing care, rehabilitation and fitness, medical care, oral health, general medicine, and pharmaceutical industry. It has 9 professional categories, including nursing, health management and promotion, traditional Chinese medicine, rehabilitation therapy, clinical medicine, medical technology, public health and health management, pharmacy, and drugs and medical devices, with a total of 18 majors, and 14,154 full-time students. Among them, the nursing major is a national backbone major, a provincial high-level backbone major, and the first batch of national elderly care service demonstration majors. It is also a promotion major of the first batch of pilot colleges and universities for the national 1+X elderly care, maternal and child care and other certificate systems; nursing and oral medicine majors are pilot majors for the integrated training of applied talents in higher vocational and undergraduate programs in the province. The school has strong faculty and adheres to the "four-step" teacher development mechanism. It has built platforms such as famous teacher studios, teacher-student workshops, skill competitions, and major research groups to promote teacher growth.
