Heilongjiang Vocational College was founded in 1948. It is a public full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education. It cultivates and delivers high-quality technical and skilled talents with patriotism, craftsmanship, enterprising spirit and pursuit of excellence. It is the largest comprehensive higher vocational college in the province with a complete range of majors, superior geographical location and strong faculty. The school is located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. There are currently two campuses. The first campus is located on Xuefu Road, Nangang District, and the second campus is located on Yingbin Road, Shuangcheng District. The school covers an area of 919,000 square meters and a construction area of 364,200 square meters. There are 3 national-level vocational education training bases and 3 provincial key laboratories. The total value of fixed assets is 421 million yuan, of which the total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 152 million yuan. The school has 13 secondary colleges, with 16,334 full-time higher vocational students and 8,685 continuing education students. The school has optimized and adjusted its professional layout closely around the development of local economy and the construction of modern industrial system. There are 47 majors, including 10 national key majors and 19 provincial key majors, and the professional settings cover three major industries. It has 2 national quality resource sharing courses and 18 provincial quality courses. The school attaches great importance to the construction of teachers and the development of teachers, and a group of well-known professors and discipline leaders from inside and outside the province have emerged. There are 914 full-time and part-time teachers, including 607 full-time teachers, 115 professors, 242 associate professors, 16 doctors, 481 masters, 2 experts enjoying special allowances from the State Council and the provincial government, 1 national excellent teacher, 10 national industry teaching masters, 2 provincial excellent teachers, 1 provincial model teacher, 15 provincial teaching masters, and the proportion of dual teachers reaches 82%.
