Henan Agricultural Vocational College was founded in Zhengzhou in October 1952. It is a public full-time college. It is now a national "double high plan" high-level professional group construction unit, a national high-quality vocational college, a national backbone vocational college, the first batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot vocational colleges, the first batch of national 1 + X certificate system pilot schools, the first batch of "National Demonstration Vocational Education Group (Alliance)" cultivation units, national rural revitalization talent training quality schools, the first batch of vocational colleges in the country Digital Campus Construction Pilot Unit, the first batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot vocational colleges, the provincial "double high project" construction unit, the first batch of provincial innovation and entrepreneurship education reform demonstration colleges, provincial demonstration vocational colleges, provincial "three-dimensional education" comprehensive reform pilot schools, Henan Provincial National Defense Education Model College. The school is located in Zhongmu, Zhengzhou, covering an area of 1,350 acres. The school has a building area of 520,000 square meters, the total value of practical training equipment is 223.41 million yuan, and the library has a collection of more than 1.596 million books; there are 834 full-time teachers, including 48 professors, 204 associate professors, and 509 teachers with doctoral and master's degrees. There is one national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" teaching master, 110 experts with special allowance from the State Council, national model teachers, national vocational education masters, provincial government special allowance experts, provincial vocational education experts, provincial academic and technical leaders, provincial outstanding teachers, etc., 6 provincial teaching teams, 2 provincial vocational education master studios, and 1 provincial Huang Danian-style teacher team. Among them, there are 2 majors supported by the central government, 5 national backbone majors, 8 provincial specialty majors, and 5 provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors; 1 national professional teaching resource library and 2 provincial ones; 2 national boutique resource sharing (online open) courses and 4 provincial ones; 4 national demonstration training bases and 3 provincial ones. There are more than 15,000 full-time students. The school is the deputy director unit of the Rural and Agricultural Committee of the China Vocational Education Society, the director unit of the China Urban Agriculture Vocational Education Group, the chairman unit of the Henan Agricultural, Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Key Vocational Education Group, the chairman unit of the Henan Agricultural Education Association, and the leading unit of the Henan Agricultural Industry Vocational Education School-Enterprise Cooperation Steering Committee. The college's training base is the "Modern Agricultural Technology Training Base of the Ministry of Agriculture", "Henan Demonstration Base of Agricultural High-tech of the Chinese Academy of Sciences", "Henan Agricultural High-tech Park", and "Henan Rural Grassroots Party Members and Cadres Training Base". In recent years, the school has used the high-tech park platform to develop more than 30 new varieties of crops, vegetables and fruits, and obtained 67 new product patents such as food, feed, and veterinary drugs.
