Henan Information and Statistics Vocational College is the only public finance and economics vocational college in China with statistics and big data as its main features. It was founded in 1951 and was formerly the Henan Provincial Planning and Statistics School. In June 2001, the Henan Provincial Planning and Statistics School and Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Industry Management jointly established the Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Information and Statistics Vocational College. In March 2013, with the approval of the provincial government and the filing of the Ministry of Education, the Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Information and Statistics Vocational College was separated from the Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Industry Management and Henan Information and Statistics Vocational College was established. The school covers an area of 372 acres and a building area of 228,000 square meters. The original value of fixed assets is 157.6648 million yuan, of which 37.5873 million yuan is teaching and scientific research equipment. There are 25 on-campus training bases (rooms) and 36 off-campus internship bases. The library has more than 450,000 paper books and more than 160,000 electronic books. The teaching and training facilities are complete, the equipment is advanced, and a virtual and real integrated training base has been built. The students' learning, living and sports facilities are complete. The school currently has 299 faculty and staff, including 60 professional and technical positions above deputy senior, 90 intermediate professional and technical positions, and teachers with intermediate and senior professional titles account for more than 64% of the total number of full-time teachers, and 137 teachers with master's degrees or above. "Dual-qualified" teachers account for more than 80% of full-time teachers. The college has 1 expert who enjoys special allowances from the State Council, 1 provincial vocational education expert, 1 provincial academic and technical leader, and 14 academic and technical leaders of the Provincial Department of Education, forming a team of teachers with excellent quality, reasonable structure, and a combination of full-time and part-time teachers.
