Henan Light Industry Vocational College is a full-time public higher vocational college directly under the Provincial Department of Education. It is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. It currently has three campuses and 19,280 students. The college follows the laws of education, takes moral education as its foundation, supports innovation-driven development as its strategy, and serves the economy and society as its orientation. It strengthens professional construction, innovates training methods, promotes teaching reform, and improves training quality. The quality and efficiency of school operation have been widely praised by the society, and it has trained a large number of talents with both moral integrity and ability for the country. History The college has a long history of running schools. Its predecessors were Henan Arts and Crafts School, Henan Industrial Design School, and Henan Light Industry School, which were founded in 1962, 1979, and 1982. In 2001, with the approval of the Henan Provincial Government, the three schools jointly established the Zhengzhou Light Industry College Light Industry Vocational College, and enrolled students in the same year. In March 2017, in accordance with the Henan Provincial People's Government's Document No. 26 [2017] "Notice of the Henan Provincial People's Government on the Establishment of Henan Light Industry Vocational College and Other Five Colleges", the three schools merged and Henan Light Industry Vocational College was independently established. Professional Settings The college offers a total of 3 undergraduate majors and 62 general higher vocational majors.
