Henan Vocational College of Industry and Information Technology is affiliated to the Education Department of Henan Province. It is a public full-time college-level general college approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Jiaozuo City, a new Chinese excellent landscape tourism city in northwest Henan, at the southern foot of the beautiful Taihang Mountains. It has beautiful mountains and rivers, outstanding people, elegant environment and convenient transportation. It is across the river from Zhengzhou and can be reached in half an hour by the Zhengjiao Intercity Railway. The school was founded in 1975 and has gone through the periods of Henan Coal Mine School, Jiaozuo Coal Industry School, Henan Engineering and Technology School, and Henan Polytechnic University Higher Vocational College.
