The school implements a management system jointly built by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hubei Provincial Health Department (Health and Family Planning Commission), and Jingzhou Municipal People's Government. On June 1, 2018, the People's Government of Hubei Province issued the document "Several Opinions on Promoting the Revitalization and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine", which clearly stated that "support Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to build a training base for grassroots traditional Chinese medicine talents and general practitioners". On December 15, 2020, the People's Government of Hubei Province issued the "Three-Year Action Plan for Promoting the Construction of a Strong Traditional Chinese Medicine Province in Hubei Province (2020-2022)", which clearly stated: "Encourage Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other institutions to train traditional Chinese medicine personnel at the grassroots level." On January 15, 2021, the Sixth Session of the Fifth People's Congress of Jingzhou City passed the Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Jingzhou City and the Long-Term Goals for 2035, which clearly stated: "Support Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to open undergraduate majors and upgrade to an applied undergraduate college." In June 2021, the Chinese Academy of Management Sciences released the "2021 China Higher Vocational College Rankings", and our school ranked first again among the national colleges of traditional Chinese medicine after 2019 and 2020. In the ranking of higher vocational majors released by "Jinpingguo" in March 2021, our school's traditional Chinese medicine major and health management and promotion major ranked second in the country, and traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics and traditional Chinese medicine health care majors ranked third in the country. According to third-party statistical data released by the Provincial Department of Education, the school's graduate employment rate, graduate satisfaction rate with their alma mater, and salary one year after graduation (i.e. after obtaining a professional qualification certificate) are among the top higher vocational colleges in the province. The school covers an area of 735 acres and has a construction area of more than 300,000 square meters; it has 2 third-level directly affiliated hospitals (Jingzhou Second People's Hospital, Jingzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital), 8 non-directly affiliated hospitals (Clinical College) and 1 provincial standardized experimental animal center; the school is equipped with 73 professional laboratories with a total value of more than 60 million yuan in instruments and equipment; the library has a collection of 615,000 books (including more than 200,000 electronic books); it has introduced digital resources such as the "Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform" and the "China Knowledge Network" electronic journal database and the "Super Star Digital Reading Service Platform"; it has established internship and training bases in more than 130 Class II and above hospitals and 60 medical and health enterprises in 10 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country; the school has 1,003 full-time and part-time teachers, including 429 full-time teachers, 191 full-time teachers with senior professional titles, accounting for 44.52% of the total number of teachers on campus, and 239 dual-qualified teachers, accounting for 55.71% of the total number of teachers on campus. The school's "Chinese Medicine Teacher Team" won the first batch of "National College Huang Danian-style Teacher Team" (only 10 out of 1,386 higher vocational colleges in the country won this honor, and our school is the only higher vocational college teacher team in Hubei Province to be shortlisted). The school integrates medical education, scientific research and clinical practice, highlights the characteristics of Chinese medicine, and coordinates the development of multiple disciplines such as Chinese medicine, clinical medicine, nursing, pharmacy, medical technology, rehabilitation therapy, drugs and medical devices, and health management and promotion. The school focuses on general college education. At present, it has 21 general college majors, including Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine bone injury, acupuncture and massage, Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine pharmacy, Chinese medicine health care, clinical medicine, stomatology, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, medical cosmetology technology, rehabilitation therapy technology, health management, elderly care and management, public health management, drug operation and management, drug quality and safety, intelligent medical equipment technology, smart health care services and management, etc. It recruits students from 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and currently has more than 10,000 full-time general college students; at the same time, it has opened adult colleges and nursing self-taught undergraduate (joint) majors such as clinical medicine, stomatology, Chinese medicine, acupuncture and massage, nursing, pharmacy, Chinese medicine, drug operation and management, medical cosmetology technology, and rehabilitation therapy technology. The Hubei Provincial Rural Doctor Training Center and the Hubei Provincial Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Continuing Education Professional Committee are located in the school, respectively responsible for the training of rural doctors in the province and the continuing education of traditional Chinese medicine and related majors. The school is employment-oriented, attaches importance to education and teaching reform, and actively explores talent training model reform, professional construction, and curriculum construction. The construction of textbooks has achieved fruitful results. 2 textbooks have been selected into the "13th Five-Year Plan" national planning textbook bibliography for vocational education, and 5 textbooks have been selected into the "13th Five-Year Plan" planning textbook excellent integration textbooks of the National Health Commission of the National College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is the school with the most excellent textbooks for the main editor. The school took the lead in formulating the "National Vocational College TCM Health Care Professional Teaching Standards". In recent years, more than 110 students have won first prizes in various professional skills competitions across the country and the province, and nearly 550 students have won second and third prizes.
